DESI GN FOR A VASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,906,
dated April 25, 1882.
Application tiled March 10, 1882. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM T. MURPHY, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Dcsign. for Vases, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side view of a vase illustrating my design, and Fig. 2 is a horizontal section on the line 2 2 in Fig. 1.
The body'of the vase is elliptical as viewed in side elevation, and the elliptical faces A are recessed, as shown in Fig. 2, leaving raised margins to a. The narrower edges or sides B of the vase are slightly convex, and upon them are formed a series of rounded projections, bl), which increase somewhat in size from the bot tom toward the top. 0 is the foot or base of the vase, which is circular in plan and joined to the body by a neck-mold, c, and D is the month of the vase, which is also circular in plan and joined to the body of the vase by a concave contracted neck, d.
Having thus described my design for avase, 2 5 I claim- 1. The design for a vase herein shown and described, the same consisting of the body of elliptical shape, provided with recessed elliptical faces A, and with a base or foot, 0, and 0 mouth D.
2. The design for a vase herein shown and described, the same consisting of an elliptical body provided with the recessed elliptical faces A, and its edges provided with the series of 35 rounded projections b b, the foot 0, and the mouth 1).
