DESIGN FOR A FINGER-RING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,365, dated July 19, 1881.
Application filed May20,1881. Term of patent 3 years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, CHARLES KRAUSS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Finger-Rings, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 represents a side view of the ring. Fig. 2 represents a front view of the shank of the ring.
Six fine parallel bars of gold, A, slightly curved, are set at equal distances apart, and being of equal size and shape, the one end of which composes the setting, to hold the stone or cameo with which the ring is ornamented. The other end, B, is finished by joining always two of the bars together, so as to form a semicircle.
0 is a fine cross-bar, of about the thickness as the aforesaid six bars, and set crosswise near the rounded end of the six bars, for ornament and finish.
The number of bars forming the ornament 25 for the shank of the ring may be increased or decreased, according to the width and weight of the ring.
I claim- The design for a finger-ring herein shown 0 and described, the shank of which is ornamented with a number of fine parallel bars of gold, slightly curved, set at equal distances apart, of equal size and shape, the one end of which is adjacent to the stone or cameo orna- 3 5 menting the ring, the other end finished in semicircles and ornamented with a cross-bar, substantially as above described.
