DESIGN FOR VISITING-CARDS.
SPECIFICATIOLI forming part of nesign No. 11,718, dated April 6, 1880. Application fixed February 18, 1880. Term of patent 3; years.
To all whom, it maycoilcern Be it known that I, PA'1RIUI(P.lV[CHUGII,a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Visiting- ]ards, Tablets, and similar devices, of which the following is a specification.
The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drawing, to which reference is made.
A is the base or bodyof the card, which may be of any desired color. B is a turnedover portion or lapel, which is provided with a perforation, (J, ada.) ted to expose av portion of the main card fi tirough the turned-over portion or lapel B. Through the hole or 'ierforation O is turned or alfixed a bow or knot, D.
I prefer that the parts A and B shall be of;
different colors or shades of color, or they may, be both of one tint.
Upon the part A, I can inscribe, engrave, print, or otherwise allix any suitable designs, Writing, photographs, or pictures.
Suitable designs, writing, photographs, or pictures may beapplied on the part B.
Dates, monograms, or other devices may be exposed through the perforation or aperture U.
I claiml l. The-design for c ards, tablets, and similar devices, consisting of a main body, A, having a turned-over portion or lapel, B, and perforation or aperture (J, substantial] y as shown and described.
2. The design for visiting-cards, tablets, and similar devices, consisting of a main body, A, having a turned'over portion or lapel, B, perforation or aperture U, and bow or knot D, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
