SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 11,634, dated February 3, 1880. Application filed December 31, 1879. Term ofpatent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known 'that I, HERMAN JAwoEsKI, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of' Connecticut, haw, inventeda new Design for ButtHinge; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying` drawing, and the letters of reference niark-ed thereon, to be a full, clear, andexact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this speciication, and represents a face View.

This invention relates to a design for the ornamentation of the leaves of butt-hinges; and it consists in the ornamentation, as shown in the accompanying illustration.

On the face of the hinge, around the edge, is a plain double border with a broken bead inside. Diagonally across one corner is a bead, forming a diagonal section, lled by small squares, and from that diagonal bead around the edge is a series of' points projecting inward across the panel, of which the said points form the border, and near the top and bottoni is a bar, and at one side a seginental-shaped ligure projects onto the face of the panel, and forni the opposite side a branch springs from the center and turns upward and downward. This ornamentation on theiace of the panelthat is, within the border-maybe changed or dispensed with.
