Be it known that I, MORITZ I{R1oKL,of the ciLy, county, und State of New York, have invented e new und original Design for Stair- Rods, of which the. following is a, full, clear, and exact.- dcscription, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, milking part ot' this specification, and in which- Figure 1 represents a. perspective view of my improved stair-rod, and Fin'. 2 a vertical transverse section of lche seme.

This invention relates to :in improved de sign for stair-rods; and consists of a stair-rod ot' square crosssection, having' one or more concave sides.

Referring to the drawings, A represents e stair-rod of square cross-section, the sides a of which, either one, two, or all, :i 'e conceived, so that e. lighter :ind more ornamental character is thereby imparted to t-he stair-rod, in place of the heavy und somewhat clumsy appearance of the plain square rod.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to protect by Letters Pntent- The design for :L stair-rod, consisting of e rod oi square cross section, and with one or more concave sides, :is shown and described.
