PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A RAILWAY CAR UNIT Application March 10, 1937, Serial No. 68,107
Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern.'
Be it known that We, Raymond G. F. Loewy, a citizen of the Republic of France, residing in the Borough of Manhattan, in the city, county, and State of New York; and Warren R. Elsey, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Merion, in the county of Montgomery and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Railway Car Unit, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
This application, to the extent that it includes matter shown in our pending application for Letters Patent, Serial No. D-65,289, led October 13, 1936, is a continuation in part of said previously led application.
Of the drawings herein:
Fig. I represents a perspective View of the interior of a railway car unit embodying our design,
the View being taken from above the car with portions of the roof removed.
Fig. II represents a similar but enlarged view of the design of Fig. I, showing details of design at the rear end of the car unit.
Fig. III also refers to the design of Fig. I and represents an enlarged cross section of the rear end of the car unit, taken along the longitudinal center line of the same; and,
Fig. IV also refers to the design of the above figures and represents an enlarged cross section,
taken as indicated by the lines IV-IV of Fig. I.
In the present design, the principal and dominating features relate to the interior construction of the car unit.
We claim:
The ornamental design for a railway car unit as shown and described.
