PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR AN ARTICULATED RAILWAY CAR OR SIMILAR ARTICLE Jersey Application August 29, 1936, Serial No. 64,640
Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, Isaac C. Barlow and Edmund D. Campbell, citizens of the United States, residing at Berwick, county of Luzerne, State of Pennsylvania, and Otto Kuhler, a citizen of the United States, residing at Grantwood, county of Bergen, State of New Jersey, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for an Articulated Railway Car or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part thereof.
Figure 1 represents, in perspective, an articulated railway car or similar article embodying the design;
Fig. 2 is a front end elevation of the railway car;
Fig. 3 is a rear end elevation of the railway car;
Fig. 4 is a side elevation of the front end portion of the railway car, and
Fig. 5 is a side elevation of the rear end por tion of the railway car.
The present design comprises as the principal and dominating features thereof, the forwardly inclined head end portion of a railway car or similar vehicle combined with a substantially centrally arranged nosing strip which extends rearwardly for a distance along the roof or" the train. In addition the train includes at its front end and near the lower portion thereof a plurality of super-irnposed ornamental widely flaring V- shaped configurations, the end of one of said V-shaped configurations continuing along substantially the full length of the sides of the train.
We claim:
The ornamental design for an articulated railway car or similar article as shown, and described.
