Specification forming part of Design No. 10,562, dated March 26, 1878 application filed March 11, 1878.

Be it known that I, JAMES L. FOLSOM, of Brooklyn, Kings county, and State of New York, haveinvented orproduced anew and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwrought into In grain and other Carp eting in colors similar to those painted on the drawings or photographs accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place of those painted on the drawings or photographs herewith; and I do hereby declare that the drawings accompanying this specification do give an d convey to any one skilled in the art of carpetweaving a defined and thorough description of the nature of my invention and are sufficient to enable any one skilled in the art of carpetweaving to use my invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting, in the form similar to the drawings or photographs accompanying this specification.
