IMPROVEMENT IN REVOLVING--G-RATER.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part o! the same.
vthat the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specifica- Figure l represents an end view of our improved grater.

` This invention relates to a new revolving grater for all kinds of vegetables, and consists in a novel manner of hanging the grater, so that it' can be readily taken out of the .supporting-frame or vessel, to be cleaned.
The grater A is of cylindrical form, made of perforated sheet-meta'l, of suitable size, and open at one end, as shown in iig. 2. It is mounted upon a shaft, B, which has its bearings in posts or ears, a b, that project from the ends of a trough or vessel, C.
The post b is, at its lower end, pivoted; by a pin, c, to lugs d 1,aud can, therefore, be swung out away from the end of the vessel.

The cylinder A is held above the vessel A C, which is provided with =a spout, g, for receiving the articles to be mashed.
The grater is revolved by meansV of a hand-crank, h, screwed upon the shaft B.
NVhen the grater is to be cleaned, the-latch e is unhooked, and the post b swung out, to carry the cylinder into an inclined position, when it gan be conveniently cleaned, as its open end is held up.
Then the crank is removed, the shaft B, with the cylinder, may he entirely taken off the supports, to be thoroughly cleaned or repaired.
Having 'thus described our invention,
What we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is Y A cylindrical grater, whose shaft B is hung at one end in a pivoted post, b, which is looked by a latch, e, and hook, as set-forth, to allow the readyremoval of the grater, substantially as herein shown and dscribed. l
