folio in a manner that they can be bentk away from the back and pushed through a folded sheet of paper and be bent back toward the back, from which they can be easily detached.
The invention consists in weaving the binding wires side by side in a manner that they freely project from the strip thus formed. These strips can be more easily fastened to the portfolio than the known strips, for instance, by pasting or stitching.
In the drawing the invention is illustrated.
Figure 1 shows a collecting-portfolio with the requisite binding strips in a perspective view. Fig. 2 shows a strip per se, on an enlarged scale.
The single binding wires Z) are woven together to a band a in a manner that they freely project from the strip. The band is fastened by stitching or pasting to the inside of the back of the collecting-portfolio c.
The single binding wires are bent up on the two strips in succession as required, and as shown in Fig. 1, pushed through the fold of the sheet Z to be fastened. Hereupon the two wires are bent down again upon the sheet.
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is A collecting portfolio f provided with woven wire sheet retaining strips, each strip having projecting free wire ends adapted to be folded over upon the sheet, substantially as described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto` signed my naine this 13 day of Mar., 1910, in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
