To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, LEVI IV. SwArronD, of Vicksburg, in the county of Varren and in the State of Mississippi, have invented a ;certain new and l'iseiful Improvement in IIeat-Concentratmg Rings for Gas or Vapor Stoves or Ranges, and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.

. The object of my invention is to provide an attachment or appliance for use in gas or vapor stoves form the dopble function of concentrating the heat upon the vessel on the stove or;

range and while admitting of a free sup-' ply of air to support combustion W111 protect the flame-from currents of air, so that it will be entirely practicable to cook in an 2 open and well ventilated room,- and more;

particularly my object'is to provide an appliance of this description having capaclty for changing the size or dimensions vert cally as well as horizontally and with the object stated in view, my invention consists in the device or appliance constructed substantially as hereinafter described and set forth.

In the accompanying drawings; Figure 1 is a vertical section of a ring embodying my invention, and Fig. 2 a perspective view thereof viewed from the under side.

My ring, notwithstanding its great capacsive inconstruction and perfectly performs .the bottom of the cooking utensil and conduces to a saving in gas, time and labor. Having thus described my invention, what I claim is: 7
