The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making o! the nm in the county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have in. vented a rlew and'useful Improved Rotary Table,

My'il'r'v'ention has for its object -to'p'ror-'ille a portable table-waiter, by which articles of food can easily I .be obtained from different parts ot' the table, withouttlle aid of a servant, and without interruption to convelsation. My invention consists, first, in providing thc portable stand with a vertically-adjnstable rotary-tranne, adapted to receive caster-bottles and dishes; either or both, in slrclr a urrmner as to present them to all sides 4 ot' the table.

It consists, further, in the combination of the rotary dish-holding plate, and .the rotary, adjustable llame,

In the accompanying drawings- A is a vertical shaft, lnonlrted upon the base B', forming a stand similar to those employed for tablecaster, with the exception .of being lunch larger.

C is a horizontal plate, or disk, mounted 'upon the shaft A, near the base B," alrd adapted to be rotated freely. This plate isllesigned to receive oneor more dishes, nsuallyihe lighter and smaller dishes of the table.

When, however', larger dishes used, the plate will he supported alrd allowed to rotate iieclyfhy-meaus ot' the rollers n, upon its 'under surface, healing upon the topot' the table.

It will .be readily undelstoml, that whenever any particular' dish is required, plate C is rotated u ntil such dish is brought within reach.

' Thus every person attlre table can serve themselves, withoutinterruption ot' conversation, and without requiring the aid' of a servant.

I do not intend to cnltiue myself to any special flrm of the rotary'plate C, as this may be varied indefi- AIn iig. 4, a series of disks, C,is'shown, supported upon suitable arms mounted llpon shaft A.

D'is a flame, composed of a series of radial arms, E, and' mounted upon the shaft-A in -such a manner as to rotate thereon. y v f The ends of :the arms 'E are bent upward, and one or more provided with suitable receptacles, F, for caster-bottles. `4

. These receptacles are either rigidly affixed. to the rlns', or adapted to be rotated thereon, as 'shown at iig. 3.

G are disks, or plates, also mounted upon one or more of the arms, E, and are adapted for the reception of sngar-bo\vls, cream-pots, dac., or the reception of a tea-cup or plate for trausit. t Tile frame D is adjustable vertically upon the shaft A, b ynreans of the collar d lrpolr the latter, and the set-screw f, tor the pnr'posc'of accommodating the difl ferent height of articles placed upon the rotary plate C. For the purpose of facilitating cleaning or packing for transportation, the sllat't A alrd base :'lre'screwed together, and may therefore be separated, and also permit the removal from -thc shaft of theL piaghe() and ti-alne D. By this construction, all the'parts'c'an/oc separately packed, with -urnch economy of room.

My improved table-waiter is notonly ol' great utility,

but forlrrs a pleasing ornament to the table.

Itis simple and cheap ill construction, and supplies a want long felt among l'lousekeepers arld others.
