To all lwhom it may concern :v
Be it known that I, A. N. TOWNE, of Chicago,-v in the county of Cook, and in the State of Illinois, have invented an Improved Music-Stool and Rack combined, and do hereby declarethat the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making a part of this specijfication, in which is shown a perspective view of my improvement.
The nature,- ofv my invention consists in combining two heretofore separate articles of furniture, for the purpose of .securing greater conVenienceLand also to economize room and lessen their cost, as will be fully described below.
In the annexed drawings, A represents a rack or receptacle for sheet or other music, consisting of a box, venclosed upon all sides except one, and provided inits interior, near theY bottom, with a shelf, B, extending upwards, from which to the top are three or more partitions, C, which furnish a suitable support for musicbooks, While sheetfmusic may be placedbeneath the shelf` B.
