Be it known that'I, GUSTAV BLUME, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Sockelstein, district of lVreschen, Province of Posen, in the German Empire, have invented new and useful Improvements in Rocking Arrangements for Perambulators, of which the following is a specification.

Though the use of cradles is gradually decreasing, the necessity for the rocking of the infants can hardly be dispensed with. The rolling to and fro of the perambulator is tiresome and noisy and the rocking of the perambulator 011 its spring, which is also frequently resorted to, results in a too speedy deterioration of the latter.

These disadvantages are obviated by the present invention which consists in the provision of a rocking stand in which the perambulator is placed so as to allow of being rocked in the manner of an ordinary cradle.

The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 representing a front view of a perambulator placed in the stand, Fig. 2, a plan of the stand, and Fig. 3, a longitudinal section of the latter along line A-B of Fig. 2 showing part of one of the wheels.

The stand consists of a frame composed of the two rockers a and the cross-bars Z) connecting the same. The latter are in their turn connected at one end by means of bars q. are formed by means of ribs h for the back wheels, and 7s and Z for the front wheels cl. These ribs are preferably connected to the bars 6 so as to allow of adjustment if necessary.

The perambulator is held in the stand, in the first place by means of the bars 9, the edges 7) of which support the back wheels in the furrows A further security is provided in the form of wedges 0 which are adapted to be passed over the rims of the wheels through apertures n in the ribs. In this manner the perambulator becomes com pletely locked on the stand so as to allow of being rocked with the same safety as an ordinary cradle. The sectional form of the ribs may be chosen with a view to produce ornamental effects.

I claim A rocking stand for perambulators, comprising two rockers, cross-bars connecting the same, adjustable ribs on said cross-bars forming furrows for the reception of the wheels of the perambulator, two bars, connecting the cross-bars, disposed so as to form supports for the back wheels, and wedges adapted to be passed over the rims of the wheels through apertures in the ribs so as to lock the perambulator on the stand, substantially as set forth.
