The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part Qi' the Same- To allwhom att-may concern Be 'it known that I, JOHN SILsBY, of the city, count 1, and Stat-cof New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in House-Connections for Sewer, Gas, and Water-Pipes; and I do hereby, declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same,'reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of' this specification, in which drawing- Y Figure 1 representsy a longitudinal central section of this invention.v 4

This `invention consists in the arrangement of an' B-shaped tube, one compartment of which forms the house-connection ofthe sewer-pipe, while the other compartment forms a case, for enclosing the housernanner that by laying down this 8- shap ed tube, provision is made for the sewer-connection, and at the same time a channel is formed, through which ther house-connections for gas and water-pipes, or either ing open the street or sidewalk.

The lower compartment a of my -shaped tube A is intended to form the house-connection ofthe sewerpipe, while the other compartment b forms a case,
through-which the service-pipes, or house-connections of the gas and water-pipes can be passed, whenever it may be desired.
It is obvious that the form of my tube must not necessarily be that of the ligure 8, since a tube with two compartments, of any form or shape, will produce the desired result But I use, by preterence, a tube, the transverse section of which is that shown in iig, 2 of the drawing, because a tube of this form is capable of sustai ning a great external pressure, and it can also be easily made and handled; and in'thernzore, the upper compartment b, when formed :is shown in lig.
