Letters Patent N 97,078, dated November 23, 1869.l i i IMPROVEMENT IN BABY-AWALKERS.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same To all whom -it may concern Be it known that I, JOHN C. GoULDING, of Trenton, in the county of Mercer, and State ot New Jersey, have invented e newzuid improved ztby-ivalker; und Ido hereby-(leclerc that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to nmke and use the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.

This invent-ion has for its object to so construct u baby-walker, that it will it the child like u. gurn'leut, allow the saune freedom of motion while supporting it, and be simple, light, and chen-p at the saune time.
The invent-ion consists in fitting,r n. iiexihle beit into the walker, so that said belt may be buckled around the iva-ist of thecllld, to prevent the saune from fulling, and stili to form e yielding support. A, in the drawing, represents t-he upper frame of u baby-walker.
It is supported on four or more legs, B B, which are provided with casters, a (l, :is shown.
The frame A is in form of n letter U, that is to soy, open in rear.
Upon the frame A is secured n U-shztped sheet of fabric, O, which is somewhat wider than the fra-me, so es to project to the inside of the same. 4
