SAFETY-ENVELOP.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, BERNARDO J. CAGNOLI, a citizen of the Republic of Argentina, resident of Montevideo, in the Republic of Uruguay, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Safety-Envelops, of which the following is a description.
My invention relates to an improvement in safety envelops, and the object is to provide devices by which the violation of the envelop is made impossible, if attempted to be opened in the ordinary way ;or the violation immediately and easily detected, should steam or any other means of-unsealing the envelop be used.
To make this spgcification clearer I will describe it in relation to the accompanying drawings Figure l is a flat view of the envelop, developed and unsealed. Fig. 2 shows the envelop sealed by three siues, ready to receive the letter, or whatever is to be therein inclosed. Fig. 3 shows the envelop sealed or closed, as will be used in the general purposes.
F and I are cuts made in the envelop material where a piece of fishglue veneer (C'oZa pz'soz's) is placed. This fish glue H is placed on the outside, and bears an inscription made half in the paper and half in the glue, as is shown in' Fi s. 2 and 3.
E is a fold which fastens the strips of A, B and C together, as is shown in Fig. 2. G is a similar fold, gummed on both sides, which upon closing the envelop fastens tomails and for Specification of Letters Patent. application filed August 1, 1908.

Of course, paper, linen, or any other material may be used for the manufacture of the envelop, as also the same may be any color, or suitable shape, as desired.
The object of the inscription on the glue is that should steam the envelop, and show it.
Having fully described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is A safety envelop having two end flaps and a top and bottom flap, said top and bottom flaps having folds E G and the end flaps having end extensions, said fold G being gummed on each side, said end flaps overlapping the bottom flap, and the fold E on the bottom flap overlapping the extended ends of said end flaps, and the top flap overlapping the end flaps and the fold G passing upwardly under the extended ends of the end fiapsand said fold G being .gummed to the bottom flap A and one of the be used for unsealing the inscription would divide extended ends of the end flaps.
