To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANK F. Soiulm'r, a citizen of the United States, residing at La Oygne, in the county of Linn and State oi The object of my invention is to provide a card or ticket holder which may be cheaply manufactured, which is not liable to get out of order, and which may be quickly and firmly secured to either a rigid or a flexible support.

'lhe preferable form of my invention comprises two parts, each of which is preferably made of spring wire. One part constitutes a base member which is provided with means for being secured to a rigid support or to a llexible'support, such as a garment. The other part comprises a. clamping member secured to the base member by a spring hinge connection so that the clamping member may be swung to and from the base member against which it is normally held by spring pressure, thus forming between the members av receptacle to receive a card, ticket, or similar device. The clamping member is also provided with a U-shaped portion which forms another receptacle for a card, ticket, or similar device. 'lwo card or ticket receptacles are thereby provided, into either of which a card or ticket may be slipped, or from which a card or ticket may be removed without danger of disturbing a card or ticket that may be held in the other receptacle.
Referring to the drawin s, 1 denotes the base member, preferably, ut not necessaril y, of substantially rectangular form. The wire base member 1, is provided with side port- ions 2 and 3, and end portions 4 and 5.
The side portions 2 and 3 are each provided with an eye 6 adapted to receive a securing screw or nail, by which the base member may be rigidly secured to any suitable sup ort, such as the wall of a car. -One end of the wire forming the base is rovided with an eye 7, located near the mi dle of the transverse end portion 4. The other end of the wire is passed through the eye 7, and from there extends centrally to a point beyond the end portion 5, which is provided with a lip 8, shown in Figs, 2 and 3, adapted to engage the tongue or free end 9, of the base wire. Intermediate the transverse portions 4 and 5, the tongue 9 is formed into a coil 10 for the purpose of increasing the resiliency of the tongue. The tongue 9 normally is disposed apart from the lip 8 with which it is made to engage by pressing it under the lip in a manner similar to the manner of securing the tongue of an ordinary safety pin.-
The spring wire clamping member 11 has ite ends respectively bent around the side portions 2 and $3 of the base at points. 12 intermediate the end portions 4 and 5. From the points 12 the wire of the clam ing member extends to the end portion 5 0 the base, around which it is formed into coils 13 by which the clamping member 11 is provided with a spring hinge connection with the base member 1. From the coils 13 the wire of the clamping member 11 extends toward and beyond the transverseportion 4 of the base member, against which it normally bears by spring pressure.
From the transverse portion 4 the wire of the clamping member ll extends toward the transverse portion 5, near which it is provided with a return bond 14, thereby forming a U-shaped portion, constituting a receptacle which is adapted to receive therein a card or ticket 1:"), as shown in Fig. 4.
