nvnovnn MILK AND PROVISION-sere.
The Schedule referred to in these I lettere Patent and making part of the same.
I,v WILLIAM HINMAN, of El-klimt, in the county of Elkhart, and State of Indiana, have invented a certain Improvement in Milk and Provision-Safes, of which the following is a specification.
My invention consists of a circular form, with two heads, four or more upright pieces or standards, fastened to the heads by nails or screws, together with one or more shelves, correspondingin size with the heads, securely fastened in position by gains and screws to the uprights, covered' with perforated zinc, B, which is secured on the sides in grooves formed in the standards for that purpose.
Each shelf` G is provided with a slide or swing-door7 which is operated by a guard-arm, E, fastened to the under side of head or shelves, by means of a screw in the centre of said head or shelves.
One end of said guard-arm has a piece of wood, of circular hrm,'attached, on which to fast-en the p'eiforated ziiic, which operates as a door, A, to the safe.
The other, or tail-end, presses against the shelf or head, and keeps the zinc door from friction in the grooves D.
The shelves are turned out on the under side, 1eav ing a prominence in the centre and at the outside, as shown in.Figure 3, for the purpose of attaching the guard-arm, and to prevent, warping or casting.
