The invention has for its primary object, a simple, and durable construction of device of this character by which a clip'tie may be easily -.applied, and the invention consists in certain. constructions and arrangements of the parts that I shall hereinafter fully describe and claim. I
F or a full understanding of the invention,
1 reference is to be had to the following description and accompanylng drawings in which:
*Figui'e 1 is a slde elevation of my 1111- =prvedtie applying tool illustrating the application thereof; and, Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the device. Corresponding and like parts are referred to in the following description and indicated in all the views of the accompanying drawings by the same reference characters.
My improved clip tie pulling device com- 'prises the crossed handles 1 and 2 that are pivotally connected 1n any desired way, as at 3. Forward of the pivot 3, the handles constitute jaws t and 5. The jawfl 18 re versely curved, as shown, and pro ects he Specification of Letters Patent.

yond the extreniity of the jaw 5, the end edge of the jaw 4t being formed with the recessfi and a-hollowed out portion 7 The jaw is formed with a straight end edge 8 from one end of which a pin or stud projects in a longitudinal direction.
From the foregoing description, in connection with the accompanying drawings, the
-operation of my improved. device will be ap parent.
In the practical use of the tool, after the clip has been applied to the axle or other part, the tie on gland 10 is slipped over one of the threaded ends of the clip-and the pin 9 is inserted in the other opening in the tie, the jaw 4; is applied to the other end of the clip so as to spring the same inwardly so that it will enter the opening and permit it to be easily slipped up into place so that the nut may be applied.
Having thus described the invention,wh.at is claimed as new is:
