Referring to the drawings; 10 designates a wooden post of rectangular formation which is inclosed within the concrete casing 11 for the purpose of preservingthe same and of preventing thecorrosive effects due to dampness and the like. The'rod 16 is provided with an enlarged offset head 17 upon its upper extremity for thepurpose of enablin the operator to drive the rod 16 downwar ly through the loops 15. The head 17 is offset for the purposeof enabling the positioning of the rod 16 against the face of the casing 11, and to hold a fence wire 18 against the same.

In use, the fence wire 18 is positioned against the outer face of the casing 11 between a pair of the loops 15 and the rod 16 is driven downwardly impinging the fence wire 18 against the casing 11 to secure the same in such position.

There is an interdependence in action be through the loops tween the wooden post and the concrete cnsing, for the reason that when the concrete casing hardens, it firmly fixes the wire to the post. Without the casing, the stem 12, could be distorted and bowed away from the post.

What is claimed is:-

The combination with a wooden fence post, of a fence wire securing member comprising a wire stem having two terminal securing eyes and a plurality of spaced intermediately' positioned laterally extending spirals each, comprising two loops held in parallel spaced relation, said loops held transversely to said posts, nails passing through said terminal eyes to secure said stem to said est, a concrete casing covering said 0st and fixing said stem to said post, said oops extending beyond said casing, a fence wire held between each set 0f .loop s, and a rod havin an offset head held within said loops to he (1 said fence wires to said casing.
