Description
@aient @Win12,
HA'RRIE'I S. MAL'IBY, CINCINNATI, OHIO.
Lette/is V.Patent No. 94,227, dated August 31, 1869.
IM'PRovED PAsTRY-ROLLER.
l The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patentand making pax-t or the same.
'as ready for use, and
Figures II and III, cross-sections, showing the peculiar structure of the reversible apron.
The nature of my invention is the application of pastry-rollers to a common table, by means of a suitable frame-work, adjusted by sliding boxes at the ends, and a reversible aprou,.for holding pastry, and capable of clearing the rollers of adhering pastry, when necessary.
The main frame of the machine, shown in Fig. I, is
marked F, and may be made of wood, iron, or other material.
J, the bottom piece ofthe frame, is a jaw, furnished with a thumb-screw, for fastening to the table;
R R are the rollers, provi/ded with cog-wheels, giring the motion that molds the pastry; and
C, the crank.
A marks the reversible apron, passing through the 'guide G, held by a regulating thumb-screw.
The edge of' the apron next the rollers is bevelled as shown in Figs'II and III.
When pressed to the roller, it from adhering pastry, and reversed, as in Fig. it acts, in a similar manner, upon the other. y
At each end of the upper roller is a sliding box, marked B, to which the end of the thumb-screw above it is fastened. 4The box is lifted or lowered by turning this screw. These two sliding boxes, in this way, gauge this upper roller, adapting the space between it and the lower tothe kind of work required.
I do not claim as new the use of rollers set in a frame, or anything in the general structure of the machine; but
`What I do claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is`
as in Fig. II, it clears III,
guide G, the rollers R, the frame F, and the jaw J, all arranged as and for the purpose specified.
In testimonyv of which invention, I hereunto set my hand, this 25th day of February, 1869.
Witnesses: HARRIET S. MALTBY.
M. DEISINGER,
The combination of the reversible apron A with the.
