IMPRO'TBMENT IN DRAWER-KN OB LABELS.
The Schedule referred to in' these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it 'may concern:
Be it' known that we, FREDERICK HALE and W1L. LIAM MANLEY, of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Glass-Face Metallic Knobs; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description ot' the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, a'nd letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this speciiication, in which- Figure l is a front elevation, and

This invention consists of a knob for druggists drawers, bell-pulls, doorfhandles, and the like, having v a glass face, upon the inside of which any inscription may be placed, such as the naine of a person or a drug, so as to'be at once visible and protected, said face being connected with the knob by means of a detachable ange in such manner that it may loe-removed at pleasure. v
To enable those skilled in the art to make and use our invention, we now proceed'to describe its construction and operation.

In the drawings- A is a hollow nietallicknob, made externally in the usual form, into the foot of which is secured the ordinary spindle a.

The glass plate has` painted, printed, or otherwise affixed upon its inner surface any desired inscription,
such as the name of some drug, which tsthe knob for an apothecanysllraiyer, or the appellation of some person, which is the appropriate one for a bell-pull or door-knob. t
