Letters Patent No'. 93,134, dated July 27, 1869.
IMPROVEMENT IN SACK-HOLDERS.
To all whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that I, DAVID STROLLUM, Of Union City, in the county of Randolph, and in the State of Indiana, have invented certain new and useful Inlpi'ovements in Sack-Holder; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification.
The nature .of my invention'consists in the construction of a device for holding sacks or bagswhile being filled, and in the arrangement of the parts hereafter set forth. f 4

f Letter A represents an oblong box, open at the top, and which is narrower arid shallowe'r at the upper end than at the lower one.
Pivoted to the lower end is" a long notched bar, B, in which the prop 0 is made to catch, in order to elevate the box tO any desired angle.
In the end of the box at which the sack is placed, there is placed a metal loop, D, extending out beyond the end, overwhich the month of the bag is placed, so'as to hold it open.
Iivoted just below the loop is a -metal clasp, E, which closes up over the loop, and thus holds the bagsecurely while it is being filled. Y
"This clasp is held in its place by the button F, after it has once been closed. v
The openings in the side of the box A are madeso as to furnish hand-holds in moving it from place to place.
