In the embodiment' of my invention herein selected for illustration, the clip spring blank l. (Fig. 2). is formed from :L short length of Wire 2, which is first headed et one end, es et 3, in anysuitable end well known manner. The body ofthe Wire is then swnged Het, es shown, to impart the necessary resiliency. In the swinging operation two integre-l securing'lugs 4 are preierzibly formed by which the spring body may besecured to e. suitable body, in this instance shown es n clip 5, Figs. 5 :ind 6. After the blank is sweged. to shape, it then cut or trimmed to :i taper to form the finished spring body o1" arm 6 (Fig. 4) and when necessn ry it is :it the same time curved transversely to iit the curvature of the back of the clip body member 5 The spring thus formed sind. the body 5 are tlien"cssembled with. the lugs 4 projectingthrough suitable. apertures in the beck of seid clip body,-
