Description
H. W. BURGNER.
LIQUD SOAP HOLDER,
APPLICATION FILED JUNE 3o, 190s.
- lUNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARRY BURGNER, OF SINKING SPRING, PENN SYLVANIA,
LIQUID-soar Hontmsua.v
` Application filed June 30,
To all whom it may concerns.
Be it known that I, HARRY; BURGNER, citizen'of the United St'ates, residing atSinking Spring, inthe county of. Berks andA State of Penns lvania, have inventedcertain new 'and use ll Improvements in 'Liquid-S08.
Holders, o f'whic'h the'followingy isa specl cation.'
This invention relates to. improvements in liquid soap holdersfand.theobjectV is to provide'a device for h'olding thefsoap in' such a manner thatit may be easily tapped'and one v in .whichfthe'container may be, easily and conveniently'removed and replaced.
The device is intended to serve as an economizer as well 'as to sup'ly a sanitary' means of dis ensing soa an it 's intended more particu arly for public was stands.
The invention is more fully described in the following specification and clearly illusf I ytrated in the accompanying drawing, in whichzfl .v
Figure 1 is anel'evation of my device in position. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal sectional viewoftheta l f The numeraI 1 designates the supports, of
which there are three, and they ,are held together byfmeans of' a disk 2 formed with."
wings 3" adapted to be bolted, one to each member 1. 'The disk has arcentral perforationi. /If desired the support may besecured to the wall as shown in Fig. 1, by means of a suitable bracket 5.
The numeral 6 designates the liquid soap container. This is preferablyv in the form of a bottle, in inverted position, and held -between the supports 1.
The numeral 7 desi nates the tap. 'f This comprises a right-ang ed tube, the vertical end 8 of which is inserted in the bottleneck and it is formed with an annular collar 9 specmca'tion of Letters recent."
190s. sria1No.441,1c2.
Patented May 25, 1909.
` a amst which the mouthof the 'bottle rests. T is 'collar in turn rests on the upper surface ofthe disk2 around the opening 4. In this vertical portion of the ta -I secure a vent tube 10' adapted to extend 1nto the bottle and l above the surface of the liquid; the lower end passes through the bottom of the tap thus providing air to the bottle to prevent a vacuum.
The horizontalportion' of the tap is formed with a valve seat 11 near its end and the extremity of this ortion of the ta is screw threaded interna l and in this en I lace a valvescrew 12, tlie extremity ofw ich-is ta ered, as shown at 13, to form a valve a a ted to seat a ainst and close theo eningl in t esieat 11. n thelo'wer side of t e tap, just outside ofthe valve seat, I form an outlet in theformof a depending tube 14.
screw will open or close the valve opening',
Itis evident that'av slight turn of the valve and allow the liquid to-flow fromthe outlet.
Having thus described my invention, what Iclaimfisz -v In a device of the class described a support comprising three members joined together by a disk, a removable liquid soap container ada ted to be held in said support, a ri ht ang ed tap secured to said container, a va ve seat in said ta a screw valve ada ted to
