- Another object of my invention is to provide a pull su port embodying a fastening member, a 100 ring-member and a cap memher, and constructed and adapted to take the strain of the pull directly on the securing member and on that part thereof best adapted to stand it, thus relieving the looking member and the cap member from any undue strain which would tend to displace them or cause movement thereof.

outer ends of the bolts being formedwith or connected to the supports, their inner ends inserted through holes which extend entirely through the front of the drawer and. the nuts being screwed on said inner ends and bearing against the inner face of the front of the drawer, but this method of securing pull supports has been found to possess many defects and disadvantages, as it requires holes which extend entirely through the front of the drawer, the nuts work off the bolts allowing the pulls to come off, and articles which the drawer may contain are liable to become damaged by catching on the ends of the bolts.
It is, therefore, one of the objects of my invention to obviate the defects and disadvantages above referred to by providing a pull support adapted to be secured to an article, against accidental removal, without requiring a hole extending entirely therethrough, but which is also adapted to be secured by utilizing a hole which extends entirely through an article, thus allowing it to be substituted for the style of pull support above mentioned.
Another object of my invention is to provide a pull su port embodying a fastening member, a 100 ring-member and a cap memher, and constructed and adapted to take the strain of the pull directly on the securing member and on that part thereof best adapted to stand it, thus relieving the looking member and the cap member from any undue strain which would tend to displace them or cause movement thereof.
Another object of my invention is to pro vide a pivotal connection between the securing member and the cap member, thus allowing the tongue of the securing member to be inserted in the hole in the article to which the pull support is to be secured and the cap to be placed flatly against said article before the locking member is inserted and allowing the securing member to be moved by the locking member.
'In the drawings: Figure 1 is a fragmentary front view of a drawer having my pull support applied. Fig. 2 a fragmentary sectional view of a drawer having my pull support applied. Fig. 3 a bottom plan view of the cap member and securing member of my pull support. Fig. 4 a view in elevation of the locking member or pin of my pull sup port. Fig. 5 a face view of the cap member. Referring to the drawings; 1, 2 and 3 designate respectively the cap member, the securing member and the locking member of my pull support, which are formed of any suitable material; for instance, steel, brass or iron.
The cap member consists of a concavomember without moving the cap convex disk which is provided with a central elongated hole 4 rounded at one end and s uared at the opposite end and with a latera elongated narrow opening or slit 5 adjacent to the squared end of the hole 4.
The securing member 2 consists of a strip, slightly less in width than the elongated hole 4, and. having a longitudinally straight transversely curved portion, which extends through the hole 4 at its squared end, the outer end of said strip being turned over laterally to form an eyeor loop 6 extending outwardly from said cap and passing through said hole between its squared end and the strai ht ortion and then through the slit 5 and na ybeing bent against the outer surface of the cap, thus serving to secure said parts together and allowing the securing member to turn on the cap member, and the lower end or tongue 7 extending inwardly from the cap and having a laterally turned portion 8 providing engaging means for the securing member.
The locking member 3 consists of a cylindrical pin of greater length than that of the tongue inwardly from the cap 1, and having a head 9, said pin being adapted to be insert-ed through the hole in the cap and force the tongue of the securing member laterally.
The pull support is secured in place, as shown in the accompanying drawings, upon a drawer, by inserting the tongue 7 into a hole 10, which is bored in the drawer front to a greater depth thanthe length of the tongue inwardlyfrom the cap. 1, and forcing said tongue inwardly until the cap 1 comes into contact with the outer face of the drawer 10 and thus secure the pull su port in place.
It will be readily appreciate from the foregoing description considered in connection with the accom )anying drawings, that the strain exerted .y the pull 12 will be directly on the longitudinally straight ortion of the securing member 2 instear. of upon the cap member and locking member, as would be the case if the longitudinally straight portion was connected to the cap, and therefore the cap member and locking member will be relieved from any undue strain which would tend to move or displace them.
I do not wish to be understood ,aS limiting myself to the precise details and arrangement of parts shown and described, but reserve the right to all modifications within the scope of my invention.

In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing member extending through said hole and having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap and engaging means projecting inwardly from said cap and a locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in the cap and force the engaging means laterally, substantially as described.
2. In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing member extending through said hole and having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap and engaging means projecting inwardly from said cap, means connecting said cap member and securing member and locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in the cap and force the engaging means laterally, substantially as described.
3. In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing member extending through said hole and having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap and a tongue projecting inwardly from said cap, provided with engaging means and a locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in said ca and force the tongue laterally, substantial-y as described.
4. Ina device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing member extending through said hole and having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap and a tongue projecting inwardly from said cap, provided With engaging means, means connecting said cap member and securing member and a locking member ada ted to be inserted through the hole in sai ca and force the tongue laterally, substantia ly as described.

In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing member having a longitudinally straight portion extendingthrough said hole and its outer end having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap and its inner end forming a tongue projecting inwardly from said cap and being provided with engaging means and a locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in the cap and force said tongue laterally, substantially as described.

In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing memher having a longitudinally straight portion extending through said hole and its outer end having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap and the inner end forming a tongue projecting inwardly from said cap and being provided with engaging means, means conmeeting said cap member and securing member, and a locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in the cap and force said tongue laterally, substantially as described 7. In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing member extending through said hole and its outer end bent over laterally and extending through said hole and forming an eye proj ecting outwardly from said cap and its inner end forming a tongue projecting inwardly from said cap and being provided with engaging means, means connecting said cap member and securing member, and a locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in said cap and force the tongue later ally, substantially as described.

In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing member pivotally connected to said cap member, extending through the hole therein and having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap member and engaging means projecting inwardly from said cap member and a locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in said cap member and force the engaging means laterally, substantially as described.

In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing member pivotally connected to said cap member, extending through the hole therein and having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap member and a tongue projecting inwardiy from said cap member and having engaging means and a locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in said cap member and force the tongue laterally, substantially as described.
15. In a device of the character set forth, a cap member having a hole, a securing mem ber pivotally connected to said cap member, having a longitudinally straight portion extending through the hole therein and its outer end having an eye projecting outwardly from said cap member and its inner end forming a tongue projecting inwardly from said cap member and being provided with engaging means and a, locking member adapted to be inserted through the hole in said cap member and force said tongue laterally, substantially as described.
