IMPROvEMENT IN MACINE FOR PLOWING- .AND BREAKING UP GROUND.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
Be 'it knownthat I, JOHN BRYAN, of Lebanon, in u the county of St. Clair, and State of Illinois, have invented an Improved Machine for Breaking Ground and Cultivating Corn; and I do hereby declare that the following is a. full, clear, and exat description of i the same, reference being had to tbe annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, in which- A H H, the gearing, or pivot-joints by which the beams are attaehedhold the pows in an upright position, yet allow them to turn sideways orraise up or down. y.
The wheels nay be set back or forward, as required,
to balance weight of driver or plows when raised, by moving upright F to forward corner of frame.
Wheels D D may be raised or lowered by slit e e in the casting of the spindle.
The hind eross-pieoeof frame J may be set angling, as represented by dots on drawings.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The pivoted frame or hounds A A, in combination with the plow-beams and main-frame J J, as constructed and arranged.
2. The lever and link t' i', in combination with the hounds A A,and main-frame J, as shown.
