To all whom 'it may concern:

Be it known that I, Neun: K. SMALL, a residing at Los Angeles, in the county of Los Angeles, State of (Jalifornia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in llooks and Eyes; and l do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description ol' the inven tien, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

The present invention has reference to hooks and eyes, and it aims to provide an exceedingly simple and inexpensively con--I structed fastening device of that nature which may be attached t-o a garment without the necessity of sewing.

To this end each member of the fastener consists of a pair of wires, one of which serves as the fastener )roper and the other as a support therefor, t ie o erative wire or fastener propel' being secured) intermediate its ends to the bight portion of the corresponding U- shzped support. Y

The wire of which the eye proper is constructed, has its central portion bent to form a forwardly-extendino semi-circular loop 13 which rests upon the zbight portion 14 of the corresponding support 7, at opposite ends thereof, the sides of the loop being likewise coiled around the bight portion of said support at suc-h points as at 16, and then directedV rearwardly and twisted together, as shown, the ends 17 of said sides ybeing bent downwardly similarly to the bent ends of the arms of the hook loop 9.
