Specification of Letters Patent.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARsDoN D. RANsoM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Georgetown, in the county of Georgetown and State of South Carolina, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Lock Bottle-Fasteners, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to stopper fasteners and more particularly to lock stopper fasteners, the object being to provide a fastener which can be easily and quickly attached to the neck of the ordinary bottle, so that it is impossible to remove the stopper without a rey.
Vith this and other objects in view, the invention consists in the novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described and pointed out in the claims.
In the drawing forming a part of this specification: Figure 1 is a perspective view of a portion of a bottle neck showing my stopper fastener arranged thereon. Fig. 2 is a front view of my improved stopper fastener detached. Fig. 3 is a rear view of the fastener detached.
In the drawing A and B indicate a pair of duplicate semi-circular bands provided with angle apertured ends A, A B, B The angled ends A, B are spaced apart by a bolt C which securely fastens the bands around the neck of the bottle. Pivotally mounted on the bolt C between the ends A B is a sleeve D of a depending tongue D projecting out from one side of a diskD which is adapted to fit over the stopper of the bottle, and is provided with an oppositely disposed depending tongue D having a slot D formed therein, adjacent its free end which is adapted to fit over the angled ends A B and secure the two together around the neck of the bottle. An ordinary padlock E is then inserted through the apertures in the end of the bands and the stopper will be securely locked in the bottle. ends can be connected together by a seal lock or any other suitable lock as desired.
From the foregoing description it will be readily seen that I have provided a very novel fastener for securing the stopper with locking means in the bottle so that the stopper can not be removed without a key.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. In a device of the kind described, the combination with a bottle and its stopper, of a pair of semi-circular bands having angled ends arranged around the neck of said bottle,
