To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, HENRY HABRILD and GUILFORD Rown HARRILD, citizens of the United States, and residents of Spokane, in the county of Spokane and State offWashington, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Kitchen-Cabinets, of which the following is a specification.

This invention is an improvement in kitchen cabinets, and consists in certain novel constructions and combinations of parts as will be hereinafter described and claimed.

In the drawing Figure 1 is a perspective View of the cabinet with the top lowered. Fig. 2 is a perspective view with the top raised. Fig. 3 is a top plan view, the top being removed and the parts in the position they assume when the top is lowered. Fig. 4 is a vertical section, parts being broken away illustrating some of the operative parts in the position they assume when the top is lowered. Fig. 5 is a sectional view similar to Fig. 4, and showing the parts in the position they assume when the top is raised. Fig. 6 is a detail view of one of the supporting arms for the work-board. Fig. 7 is a detail view of the work-board,'and Fig. 8 is a detail view of one of the connecting rockers.

In carrying out the invention we provide a table frame having the o, posite side frames A supported on the legs 1% and C and having outer and inner slide rods p and g which are slotted at c, for the passage of bolts 1' and s to limit the movement of said slide rods, the said slide rods being adapted to be extended beyond the table frame as shown in Fig. 3. The top D is hinged at its rear edge to the table frame so it may be raised and lowered and is iprovided on its under side with a drawer ame D which rriay be supplied with a number of drawers for holding any desired articles and this drawer frame D is preferably pivoted at D so it will swing on its connection with the top between the positions shown in Figs. 1 and 2 when the to is lowered or raised as illustrated in said figures.

A work-board l is arranged below the to D andthis work-board is preferably movab e vertically, up and down and devices are provided whereby it may be so moved in order that it may be raised to the desired level for Specification of Letters Patent.

We also provide a supporting board '5 hinged at its lower edge at y" and arranged for adjustment to the position shown in Fig. 2 in order to support the front edge of the workboard and to give the same additional strength at such point, and this hinged board 'i may be raised from the position shown in Fig. 4 to that shown in Fig. 5 by hand ope n ings 7c being provided therein for ntroduction of the fingers of the operator in raising the board 'i, as before described.

Supporting arms a and b are pivoted at one end to the table frame and are rovided at their other or swinging ends wit and b which bear below the work-board and the swinging ends of the arms a, and b are connected by links (I so the said arms a, and b will rise and fall in unison and means areprovided for adjustingthe arms from the 081- tion shown in Fig. 4 to that shown in 1g. 5 and vice versa. We claim 1. A cabinet substantially asherein described comprising a frame provided with grooves, a work-board movable up and down in the frame and having lateral projections entering the upright grooves, sup orting arms arranged in pairs below the wor board and pivoted at one end to the frame and provided at their other or swinging ends with rollers bearing below the work board, means connecting the swinging ends of the supporting arms, swinging arms piv- I oted at one end to the frame and connected at such end with one of the supporting arms for operating the same, a hinged top, connections between the said top and the swinging arms whereby the arms ma be operated by the raising and lowering of t e top and a suporting board hinged at one edge to the flame whereby it may be adjusted at its other edge to bear below the work-board when the latter is raised to position for use and form a support for said work-board, substantially as set forth.

2. The combination with a frame and a top, of a work-board movable up and down in the frame below the top, means for raising the work-board, and a supporting board pivoted at its lower edge, free at its other edge and adjustable at the latter edge to a position below the front edge of the work-board when the latter is elevated to support the same when raised to position for use, substantially as set forth.
