Specification of Letters Patent.

Serial No. 409,012.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GOTTLIEB REICHERT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cobb, in the county of Iowa and State of Wisconsin, have invented a' new and useful Ironing-Gloss, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a compound for imparting a glossy and finished appearance to ironed garments.
The object of the invention is to provide a compound of this character which may be easily applied, which will not injure the finest fabrics, which can be used either with starch, or after starching has been completed, and which may readily be manufactured without the employment of special machinery for the purpose.
With the above and other objects in view, as will appear as the nature of the invention is better understood, the same consists in the novel ironing gloss hereinafter described and claimed.
The compound consists of the following ingredients by weightwater, sixty-four ounces, purified beef tallow, ten ounces,borax, eight ounces, parafiin, four ounces, white bees wax, ten ounces, white soap, one ounce.
The compound is prepared in the following manner: The Water is heated to 212 F., and the other ingredients are then added in sequence as follows-borax, tallow, paraffin, wax and soap.
