To all whom it may concern: 1

Be it known that I, ISAAC MAsoN, a citizen of the United States, and'a resident of the city of New York, borough of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Im rovement in Poker-Tables, of which the fol owing is a full, clear, and exact-description.

The purpose of the invention is to provide a table top especially constructed for playing the game of poker, which poker to is adapted to constitute an auxiliary top or the table, particularly a table having a rectangular top member, and also to so construct the auxiliary table top that it can be quickly.

and conveniently placed and held in position upon a table and as readily and expeditiously removed, without in. any manner marring the table to which application is made.

A horizontal partition 12 extends from the inner walls 11 of the pockets 11 in direction of the center of the auxiliary top 'A, as is shown in Figs. 2 and 3, and vertical partitions 13 at the inner end portion of the horizontal partition 12 connect .the horizontal partition with the main-members of the said top A, it being understood that the horizontal partition 12 and vertical partitions 13 are separated at the line of. separation between a and a, one secthe'two sections a and a of the top. In Figs. 1, 2 and 3 the table to B is in two .sections b and b, the section b eing a dro leaf section, and the section bis sup orte by preferably three legs 17 located at t e corner ortions thereof, and'the two sections 1) and at their abutting edges are connected by hinges 16.

Having thus' described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters 1. The combination with a rectangular i table topv consisting of a fixed and a drop leaf section, of an auxiliarytable top constructed in hinged sections and having a chamber formed at its under face, of slightly greater dimensions yet the same shape as the marginal portion of the table to and adapted to receive the latter, said tab e and auxiliary top being divided a proximately in the same vertical plane, the c ambered portion of that section of the auxiliary to which lies over the fixed top section having orizontal flanges extending inward from the lower ortion thereof for engagement with the un er face of said fixed top section, the chambered portion of the other section having walls vertical throughout their hei ht, and means for supporting said dro lea at a level with the fixed top to support t e'auxiliary sections in their unfolded positions or to allow the same to be dropped out of the way when the auxiliary, top sections are folded together.

2. An auxiliary top adapted to be detachably held on an ordinary fixed table top, consisting of two sections hinged together, cleats or bars attached to the under face of said auxiliary top and forming an inclosure of the same shape as the fixed table top, but of slightly greater dimensions, so as to fit down over and contain the same, the lane which divides said top into sections a so dividing said chambers into two equal portions, and elements fixed to and extending inward from the lower portions of the cleats or bars on one section and adapted to engage with the under'face of the fixed table top, whereby said latter section may be slipped laterally 'upon'the table top and held thereon against vertical'movement, the cleats or bars on the other section having unobstructed inner -sides, whereby said latter section may be folded down over the fixed table top after the said first named section is in place to hold the entire auxiliary top against lateral movement.

3. As a new article of manufacture an auxiliary table to adapted to be detachably held on a fixe table top, consisting of two sections hin ed together, the sections being provided wit a plurality of marginal pockets in their upper. faces, and on their under'faces with a chamber corresponding in shape to the fixed table top but of slightly greater dimensions than the said top, and inwardly extendingflan es on one section at the bottom of-the wal of the chamber and adapted to en age the under face of the fixed table top w en the said section is sli ped upon the said tabletop, the wall of the cliamber on the other section being unobstructed to permit thesaid section to fold down over the fixed 1 table top.
