such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it l appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawin s, and to letters or figures of reference mar ed thereon, which-forma part of this speciiication. v i' My invention relates to hand firearms, and
more'especially to'hand firearms of the recoil-operated automatic type, and consists in certain details of construction-hereinafter to be described, and claimed.
Referring to the drawings which like parts are similarly designated-Figure 1 is a vertical, longitudinal section through the breech-bolt of a firearm constructed inaccordance with my invention; Fig. 1a is a rear elevatlon thereof; Fig. 2 is a horizontal section before firing; Fig. 3 is a like view, after firing; Fig. 4 is a section similar to Fig. 3,
showing a modification; Fig. 5 is a section showing parts in ring position in the gun; Fig. 6 is -a vertical, longitudinal lsection showing a modification of the endjof the bolt; 6a is an end view thereof; Figs. 7, 8 andv 9 are details; Fig. lOis a horizontal, central section of Fig. 5; Fig. 11 is a section on line a-b, Fig. 10.
Referring to Figs. 5 and 10, the mechan-l 1sm comprlses a breechframe 3 fixed to the usual stock, not shown, and provided with oppositely situated lateral openings 38L hav-l lngbeveledv or cam faces 3b, the purposes -of which will hereinafter be described. I claim- 1. In a hand firearm, the combination with a bolt, a stationary rail and a springactuated firing-pin in the bolt; of a cocking lever pivoted 1n the bolt and actuated b engagement with the rail when the bolt 1s re-` tracted, said lever engaging the firin -pin to move it into cocked position, and in opend-l ent means passing through the firing-pin `to hold the firing-pin in cocked position and simultaneously actuated by the cockin lever.
