Description
ALONZO SKINNER, OF WARREN, AS SIGNOR TO LUCIUS A. SKINNE'R IMPROVEMENT IN SUSPENDED PORTABLE FENCE.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making palrt of the same To 'whom fit-ma/y conce/rn:

Figure 1 is a perspective view of' my invention.
Figure 2 is an elevation of the gallows-frame.
' Like letters indicate like parts in each figure.
The nature of this invention relates to au improvement in the construction of port-able fences, so that they are not only securely' sustained in a vertical position, but are suspended inthe air above the ground, requiring no posts to be set in the ground, and made in sections,'so that the same may be set up anywhere, easily removed, and economical to build.
The invention consists in sustaining and suspending lengths of board fence, constructed in the ordinary way,
uponsuitable gallows-frames, notches being cutinpthe top thereof, by means of which the fence is held in position.
A, in the drawings, representsia length of board fence, constructed of vertical slats B, and horizontal bars of boards C, nailed together in theusual way.
D are short pieces of plank, from each end of which rise the diagonal braces E, projecting upward and inward, until they meet at a common centre, as at F, where the notch G is cut, as shown in the drawings, thereby completing the gallows-frame.
The bar 3 being the third one from the bottom, and the next one to the top, is set edgewse into said notches G, in a series of gallowsframes, as described.
VWhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The gallows-fralne, composed of the parts D and E,
