No. 878,853. PATENTBDF-EB. 11, 1908. w. E. BAILEY & w, A. KBLSEY.
STORE FURNITURE. APPLICATION FILED JULY 19.1907.

Affomeys UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
WILLIAM E. BAILEY AND WOODFORD A. KELSEY, OF PARAGOULD, ARKANSAS.
STORE FURNITURE.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Feb. 11, 1908.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, WILLIAM E. BAILEY and WOODFORD A. KELSEY, citizens of the United States, residing at Paragould, in the county of Greene and State of Arkansas, have invented certain new and useful Im- 1provernents in Store Furniture; and we do ereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
Our invention relates to what is commonly designated store furniture, and more particularly to a cabinet for holding and delivering woven wire and the object of our invention is to provide a cabinet of convenient size and ready accessibility which will possess great storage capacity, whereby a large variety of woven wire goods may be conveniently housed and safely stored against dust and other deterioratinginfluences.
Other objects and advantages will be hereinafter presented, reference being had to the accompanying drawings which are made a part of this application, and in which,
Figure 1 shows a perspective view of our invention complete ready for use. Fig. 2 is a vertical sectlonal view taken on line 22, Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a detail view of the upper portion of our improved wire cabinet taken from the rear side thereof.
By reference to the drawings, it will be observed that we have provided a plurality of separated sections, or compartments, which are preferably graduated in length, the longer sections designed to accommodate the longest rolls of wirecloth being at the bottom of the cabinet, the length of the remaining compartments being greatly lessened from the bottom towards the top, thereby fitting the top sectionsf or the accommodation of the shorter rolls of wire.
Obviously, some of the longer compartments may be readily used. for two or more shorter rolls without impairing the usefulness of our invention or the efficiency of the operation thereof.
By reference to Fig. 2 it will be observed that each floor section of the different com artments is extended slightly beyond the ront line, such floor section being designated by the numeral 1. Upon the extended edge of the floor section 1, we secure in any preferred manner a straight edge or cutting bar 2 of proper size to be received by the sliding member 3, upon which we pivotally secure, by means of the rivet or bolt 4, the wire cutting blade 5, preferably presenting a convex edge and also provided with a controlling handle 6.
Immediately above the projecting edge of each'floor we provide a slotted opening 7, whereby the woven wire may be readily drawn through as indicated by the numeral 8, the roll of wire being designated by the numeral 9 in Fig. 2.
In order to conveniently place the rolls of woven wire within any of the compartments, we provide for each compartment a conveniently mounted door, preferably hinged at its lower edge to the floor section 1, as designated by the numeral 11 and, obviously, said door may be opened by means of the handle 12 and the roll of wire placed in position, with the free end thereof extending slightly through the slotted opening 7.
Our improved cabinet may be disposed directly upon the floor or may be' provided with suitable supporting members 13 and 14 and, if desired, may also be provided with handles 15, whereby the cabinet may be readily conveyed from point to point, as desired.
While our cabinet will be found very convenient and desirable for providing safe storage and protection for rolls of wire, yet it serves a still greater convenience by providing the cutting appliance, in-as-much as the member 3 may be readily moved off of any one of the cutting bars 2 and placed upon any other cutting bar, thus enabling the salesman to cut off any portion or length of wire of anyof the various sizes or widths of edges taking in behind said guide, and a names to this specification in the presence of knife pivoted to said guide and adapted two subscribing Witnesses. In testimony whereof We have signed our Jos. R. BEALEG.
