`Figure 5 'is an end View of the female fastening,
showing the sam-e adapted, to the male fastening, as seen in g. 3.
'we will proceed l al .figures de'- 'note the same parts of our said invention.
lA represents a bar, of iron or other suitable metal, which is casttogether with a ing a single piece.
The curved bar enters a concave recess in the end of'the side rail, being firmly secured in the same from the conguration ofthe bar, audits ends 'are provided, upon both sides, with lugs b b, which secure the fastening in theiernale fastening as desired.-
If desired, the said ends ofthe curved bar O may be connected and strengthened by the ba'rAfandivhere a continuous -flange, ff, is used, the bar Amust be provided. Y l
When lugs b b are arranged upon both sides of the fastening, the female fasteningv must have corresponding enlargements'inits slot, upon both sides thereof.
When a iiange, f, is used, suitable provisions must be made in the female fastening to receive and retain the said ,male fastening.
Having described the construction and operation of Y our said invention, we willnow specify whatwe claim, and desir-etc secure by Letters Patent.
