BURIAL-VAULT MOLD.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, J OHN M. PRUETT and WILLIAM ARI), citizens of the United States, residing at Rockville, in the county of Parke and State of Indiana, have invented a new and useful Burial-Vault Mold, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to molds for making burial vaults, sarcophagi and the like from cement and other plastic material and has for its object to provide a mold capable of being readily adjusted thereby to permat the formation of vaults of different sizes and dimensions. A
A further object of the invention is to provide means for locking the side walls of the outer mold section against lateral displacement and means for supporting the inner mold section in spaced relation to the outer section.

With these and other objects in view the invention ironsists in the construction and novel combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, it being understood that various changes in the form, proportions and minor details of construction may be resorted to within the scope of the appended claims.

. 4 is a transverse sectional view taken through one consisting of spaced longitudinal bars 5 and 6 and transverse end bars 7 and 8, the longitudinal bars 5 and 6 being provided with metal straps 9 the free ends of which are formed with terminal perforations for the reception of suitable locking pins 10 which engage any one of a plurality of openings ll formed in the transverse end bars 7 and 8 thereby to lock the longitudinal and transverse bars in adjusted position.

The side and end Walls of the outermold section ar each preferably formed of upper and lower timbers having their inner faces curved laterally, as indicated at 17 and between which are interposed a plurality of spaced 1 removable strips 18, the upper timbers of said walls being slidably mounted on the standards 13' sons to permit any number of the longitudinal strips 18 to be removed thereby to vary the height of said walls The standards 13 and 15 are provided with elongated slots 19 in which are slidably mounted for vertical movement suitable clamping bolts 20, the latter secured to the upper timbers of the side and end walls whereby said timbers may be lockedin adjusted'position.
The end walls 16 are locked in engagement with the side walls 13 by means of suitable hooks 21 which engage corresponding eyes 22 carried by the end walls 16, there being one or more openings or apertures 23 formedin the end walls for the reception of the eyes when the mold is adjustedlaterally to vary th e size of the molded product.

The inner mold section may also be adjustedby releasing the bolts 42 and detaching one or more of the vertical slats 36' and subsequently adjusting the'lower reinforcing bars 28 by sliding the same longitudinally one upon the other and clamping the same by tightenting the bolt 30.
In order to adjust'the base or inner mold section it is merely necessary to remove the locking pins 10 and adjust the transverse and longitudinal bars longitudinally or laterally as' the case may be until the desired ad juhtment is effected aiter which the pins 10 are passed thereis provided a removable strip 36 designed to be pov ing orotherwise marring the finished face oi the vault.
