NANCY M. COURT, OF LONGBEAOH, CALIFORNIA.
MEANS TO PRESS CREASES IN TROUSERS.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Oct. 8, 1907.
Application filed March 14, 1907. Serial No. 362,271.
of my device with a pair of trousers in place therein.
Fig. 3 is an edge view thereof in its open position. Fig. 4 is an edge view of my device in its folded position for transportation or storing away. Fig. 5 is a perspective view of one of the locking clasps.
My device consists essentially of two strips of boards or members hinged together and adapted to be thrown into its open position as shown in Fig. 1 and into its closed position as shown in Fig. 2. The trousers 8 being folded in position to give the proper crease to the front of each leg are placed into the device and the device clasps 6 are put into their closed position pressing the members of the device against the folded edges of the trousers and are left in this position any desired length of time. The trousers are removed therefrom by throwing the clasps into the open position shown in Fig. 1. To provide means whereby the clasps may be folded into a smaller space, the clamping members may be cut in two in their centers as at 10 and the hinges 11 screwed thereinto. When made this way the clamp may be easily folded into a small compass as shown in Fig. 4.
I have shown the device secured to the front of the trousers, but the same device can be used in the rear thereof.
Having described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
In a trousers clamp a pair of fiat strips hinged together along one of their edges, each of said strips being hinged near its center so as to fold flatly on itself, and a plurality of clasps pivotally secured to one of said strips and adapted to pass around the hinged edges of both of said strips and hold said strips flatly against each other.
In witness that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto subscribed my name this 6 day of March, 1907.
NANCY M. COURT.
