JACOB D. SPANG, OF DAYTON, OHIO.
LettersPatmt No. 86,041, dated Jmtua/ry 19, 1869.
REPROVEMIENT IN GASOLINE COOK-STOVES.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent'and making part of the sauna To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J ACOB D. SPASG, of Dayton, in the county of Montgomery, and btate of Ohio, have invented a new and improved Disk for Gasoline Cook- Stoves; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making apart of this specification, in \vhich- Figure l is a side View of my device, with the disk and burner shown in section.
Figure 2 is a top view of same.
Figure 3 is a longitudinal vertical section of burner.
Figure 4 is a top view of same.
In the drawings- A represents a side view of disk, with a portion of side out out to avoid interference with the pipe E.
The pipe E extends to the other side of disk, in a pocket, F, which forms a support for the disk.
The burner is of the same construction as that secured by my patent of June 16, 1868,7and is arranged with the pipe- E, which crosses the middle of disk to pocket, then bends downward, then back to the middie, and then upward exactly under the disk, and there is supplied with burner to suit, that the heat may be communicated to the gasoline at the point desired, and the burning gas of the stove therefore serves to reduce the petroleum to gas, and the stove then makes its own gas, and supplies itself with fuel.
The stop-cock at the point B regulates the flow of gasoline.
The object or this arrangement or disk. and perforated top is to catch the heat as it rises from the burner,
