The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, J OHN H. TILUS, of Independence,
in the county of Buchanan, and State of Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Gorn Huskers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification, and in which- Figure 1 represents a front view of my c'orn-husker,
Figure 2, a rear. view of the same; and
Figure 3, a perspective view of the metal plate, with hooks attached to the piece of leather or palm fitting on the hand.
The nature of my invention consists in the employment of a piece of leather, constructed so as to be adapted to the front part of the hand, and supplied on its rear side with suitable bands, for retaining it on the hand while in use, and supplied, on its front surface, near the outer end, with a metal plate, curved upwards at one end, and terminating in two hooks, the object of the above being designed to furnish a suitable means for husking corn.
To enable those skilled in the art to whichmy' invention appertains, to make and use thesame, I will now describe its construction and operation.
