citizen of the United States, residing at cago, inthe county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented new and luseful Im rovements in Arch-Holders, of'which the ollowing is aspecification.
This vinvention is a holderorclam'p for, arches, particularly for furnace arches or crowns.
It comprises a metal frameV provided with plates and adjusting screws at its ends and means for clamping or-securing the brick This secures the bricks more firmly together than can be accomplished in the` usual manner, and thus in furnace construction, makes the bricks less liable to burn, crumble or drop out and also makes the fire arch more durable and lasting. In. such construction several of the clamps are employed and the bricks are clamped in sections, to suit the length of the furnace.
