IMPROVE!) NUT-CRACKER.
The Schedule referred to in these Lettere Patent and making part of` the same.
To all whom it may conce/rn Be it known that I, OHAnLns HAYDEN, of Collinsville, in the county of Hartford, and State oi' Connecticut, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Nut-Crackers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enabldnlllllkilled in'j'lhearnto make. and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which the figure shows a side elevation of my improved device attached to a table.

This invention relates to improvements in nut crackers, whereby it' is designed to provide a more effective and useful article than those now in use.
It consists in providing one ofthe jaws with a clamp, whereby it may be firmly clamped-to a table, in a sta'- tionary position, and in providin'g'two different points of application between the jaws, one for small and one for large nuts, as will be more fully described on refer.- ence to the accompanying drawings, wherein- A represents the stationary jaw, provided with the brackets c and b, and with a set-screw, O, whereby it may be clamped to a table or'bench..
It will be easily seen that anut-cracker constructed as above described can be used with much greater ease and eiiect than those of ordinary construction.
Having thus described my invention,
I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patentlhe nutfcrackerfconsisting of the stationary jaw A and pivoted lever B, when the former is made with extensions a l1 D, and provided with the clampingscrew C, substantially as herein shown and described.
