Be it knownthat I, ANDREW O; NORD- QUIST, a citizen of the United States, residing at Minneapolis, in'the county of Hennepin and State of Minnesota, have invented a new and useful Floor-Scraper, offwhich the fol-j lowing is a specification.
My 1nvent1on relates to certain new and useful improvements 1n scrapers, and has for its object to providera scraper that is very With these objects in view the invention I consists of the novel features of construction and combination of parts hereinafter described, and pointed out in the claims.
In the drawings forming a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a prespective view of the scraper, and Fig. 2 is a vertical section.
Referring to the drawings, A indicates a flat plate forming the bod of m device, havingone end bent semicy indrica 1 ,form:
. ing a guardA, and its sides A being bent upwardly and perforated at A for the purpose hereinafter escribed. The sides adjacent the other end are bent inwardly and downwardly, forming guideways A forming the bit B, adapted to. slide on the plate between the sides, the upper edge of which projects under the guard A.
Pivoted between the sides A on screws 0', passing through the perforations A is a bar C, provided'with-a screw-threaded In C? at one side and a screw-threaded arm eX-- tendin cm the other side, carrying a thumbscrew adapted to engage the bit when in lace and by means of which the scraper can be adjusted to difierent angles, as may be desired.
l l l f Extendin through the lug C on the bar 0 is a screw-threaded rodE, carrying. a handle E at the other -end and by means of which the rod E can lie broughtinto engagement with the bit and securely lock it in place.
From the foregoing description it will be Specification ofLetters Patent.
