To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, LOUIS GALLoT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Grand Rapids, in the county of Kent and State of Michigan, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Movable Supports for Wardrobes; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

My invention relates to improvements in movable supports for wardrobes, and more particularly to such supports adapted to be moved wholly outside of the wardrobe or wholly within the same at pleasure; and its object is to provide the same with various new and useful features hereinafter more fully described, and particularly pointed out in the claims.

My invention consists, essentially, of the combination and arrangement of two channelbars arranged parallel, spaced apart, and fixed in the upper part of the case which constitutes the wardrobe, two other channel-bars longitudinally movable between the first-named bars and also spaced apart and provided with supporting-rolls traversing the fixed bars, and a T-shaped bar longitudinally movable between the inner channel-bars and supported therebetween upon rolls traversing the said channel-bars, this latter bar also having attached thereto hangers supporting a rod on which the clothing may be suspended, as will more fully appear by reference to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a vertical section of a case or wardrobe with my device attached and shown in extended position; Fig. 2, a transverse section of my device on the line 2 2 of Fig. 3; Fig. 3, a side elevation of my device detached and shown in closed position; Fig. 4, the same shown in extended position; Fig. '5, a plan view of the same, as in Fig. 4; Fig. 6, a sectional detail on the line 6 6 of Fig. 4; Fig. 7, the same on the line 7 7 of Fig. 4; Fig. 8, the same on the line 8 8 of Fig. 4; Fig. 9, the same on the line 9 9 of Fig. 4; Fig. 10, a sectional elevation of Fig. 6. Like numbers refer to like parts in all of the figures.

1 represents a vertical section of any convenient style of wardrobe or case.

2 represents two channel-bars fixed in the upper part of the case by brackets 9 and with their channeled sides turned toward each other and spaced apart to receive therebetween two other smaller channel-bars 3 3, which are also spaced apart and longitudinally movable between the fixed channel-bars and supported therebetween by rolls 7, journaled on the outer sides of the bars 3. These rolls are arranged in pairs, one pair being at the inner ends of the bars 3 and the other pair at such distance therefrom as will properly support the bars in horizontal position and permit the same to extend slightly more than one-half their length outside the case when drawn out. These bars 3 are also arranged parallel to each other and with their channeled sides toward each" other and spaced apart sufficient to receive therebetween a T-shaped bar 4, longitudinally movable between the bars 3 and supported by rolls 8 and 8, journaled thereon and traversing the channels of the bars 3, these rolls being ar ranged in pairs, one pair, 8, at the inner end of the bar 4 and the other pair, 8*, near the middle thereof, the end pair of rolls 8 being of such size as to engage both flanges of the channel-bars 3 and the forward rolls 8 being smaller to engage the lower flanges only and to rotate beneath the flanges of the T-shaped bar 4. This bar is also extended downward below the channel-bars, and attached thereto at its respective ends are hangers 6, by which is suspended a rod 5, arranged parallel with the bar 4 and upon which rod the clothing may be suspended, as convenient.

To limit the outward movement of the bars 3 and 4, stop-pins 11 in the bar 3 engage the rear rolls 8 and stop the bar 4, and stop-pins 12 engage the rear rolls 7 and stop the bars 3.

"By the described device I am thus able to movably support any articles of clothing upon the rod 5 and move the same at pleasure wholly outside the case or wholly within the same.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In a wardrobe, the combination of two fixed channel-bars, two longitudinally-movable channel-bars between the fixed bars, and supported thereby, a bar supported by the inner channel-bars and longitudinally movtherebetween and a rod attached to the last named bar and movable therewith.

3. In a wardrobe, the combination of two channel-bars, brackets connecting the wardrobe and bars, two smaller channel-bars supported by the first-named bars and longitudinally movable therebetween, a T-shaped bar supported by the smaller channel-bars and.

longitudinally movable and also extending below the channel-bars and a rod supported by the T-shaped bar.

4:. In a wardrobe, the combination of two channel-bars spaced apart in parallel planes and with their channeled sides turned inward,

brackets connecting the bars and attached to the wardrobe, two smaller bars also spaced apart and longitudinally movable between the outer bars and also with their channeled sides turned inward, a T-shaped bar longitudinally movable between the inner bars and supported thereby and also extending below the same, hangers attached to the last-namedv bar, and a rod supported by the hangers.

5. In a wardrobe, two fixed channel-bars spaced apart in parallel planes and with their channeled sides inward, two longitudinallymovable channel-bars therebetween, and also having their channeled sides inward, rolls journaled on the inner channel-bars and traversing the channels of the-outer bars, a longitudinally-movable bar between the inner channel-bars and supported thereby and means for suspending articles upon the last-named bar.

6. The combination of two channel-bars spaced apart in parallel planes and with their channeledsides inward, brackets adapted to be attached to a wardrobe and connecting said bars, two longitudinally-movable channel-bars between the first-named bars also spaced apart and with their channeled sides turned inward, rolls journaled on the inner bars and traversing the channels of the outer bars, a T-shaped fixed channel -bars, two longitudinallymovable channel-bars therebetween, rolls journaled on the movable bars and traversing the channels of the fixed bars, a T-shaped bar longitudinally movable between the movable channel-bars, a pair ofrolls journaled on the last-named bar near the middle thereof and traversing the lower flanges of the movable bars, rolls on the inner end of said bar, adapted to engage both fianges of the movable bars, and a rod suspended below the T-shaped bar and attached thereto.

8. In combination with a wardrobe, two fixed channel-bars spaced apart in parallel planes and with their channeled sides inward, brackets connecting said bars and the wardrobe, two longitudinally movable channelbars between the fixed bars, and also spaced apart and with their channeled sides inward, rolls journaled on the inner bars and traversing the channels of the outer bars, a T-shaped bar longitudinally movable between the inner bars, rolls near the middle of said bar and traversing the lower flange of the inner channel-bars, rolls at the inner end of the T-shaped bar and adapted to engage and traverse both I flanges on the inner channel-bars, hangers on the T-shaped bar, and a rod supported and carried by the hangers.
