Be it known that I, CHARLES WILLnAMs, o f thecity of' Jackson, in the county of' Hinds, end in the State n of Mississippi, have invented a nenand improved Mode `of AttachingHandles to Mould-Boards of Plows; and 'do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, oference beinghad to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification, in which-1- Figure 1 represents o. side view of my invention,'and

It is weil knul'n to al1 who are familier with farming that Ihandles secured in the usual manner are sul jccted to anintensc strain,` whichA soon separates the fibres, thereby rendering. tho handles useless. In my improvement cast two iron lngs to the. mould-board around nn'ought-iron rods. v-On one end of each I cui screws and provide themwith-nuts. These bolts may haven thread cnt'ou'hoth ends, and the lugs Amay be cast solid and drilledsnbsequcntly,,and a scrcn cut in them to receiile thebolt. A A v 'In ease of accident, lWheiebyon'e or more of' the bolts may be broken, new ones may bel supplied at'a .trifling cost. .In the 'event otfveither of the handlesA being broken by accident, nny'ordinary farmhand, not a mechanic, can replace the vhandles in*` a very short time by thenid o fA aldrawing-knife, s'aw, auger, and wrench,A
