.Be it knownA that I, JEROME B.' SWEETLAND, of the cityof Pontiac, in theV count)T of Oakland, and in the State Aoi`lS'Iichi,fan, have invented Acertain new anduseful Iinprovements in Hooks; and 'do hereby' declare that the following is a full, clear, andexact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference in arkedthereon.

The nature of my invention consists inthe general arrangement of a rafter-l1ook, so constructed that `in puttingit together there will be no holes to drill nor rivets to put in, the hoo'ks being cast with holes and rivets in them, Iand in the construction and application'ofa triangular slotted'plate with a hook attached to the saine.

In'order to enableothersskilled in the art to' make and use my invention, I will nowproceed to describe its constructionand operation.
