Be it known that I, B. F. BEAN, of Sehnylkill, in the county ol Chester, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a. Combined Tongs and Wrench; und I do hereby declare the following to be n full andtexact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drnwings, which are made part of' this specification, und in which?- i Figure 1 represents a side view, in'persp-ectiv'e, of my invention.
My invention consists in combining in one instrument the mechanical implement culled the tongs, and the common hand or moukey-wrench. l i
In order to eiect this, I construct tongs, as shown in the accompanying drawing, havinrr :it the point A,

The jaws of the tongs are inclined etl such an angle that, when closed, only the tips of the jaws come together, and when opened the jnws are capable of grasping nuts of different sizes.
The wrench may be madeof tiny kind of material or metal.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, -and desire tosecureby Letters Patent, is-
lhe combined implement herein described, consisting of the tongs B C and screw-wrench C D E, the movable jew of the hitter` being rua-de adjustable upon the a-rm or handle C by a.- nut, H, which is fitted to a screwthread eut u'pon the arm C, the whole constructed and Voperating in the nia-nner and for the purpose specified.
