Be it known that I, THOMAS J. FLAGG, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new andmi'mproved Combined Neck-Tieland Watch-Guard; and I do here/hy declare that the following is a full,l clear, and exact description thereof, which .will enable others skilled "in the art to make and use the same, reference benghad tothe accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which-Y i Figure l-representsmy improvedeombined neck-tie and watch-guard.

Y -My invention has for its object to combine a neck-tie and watch-guard with each other, so as-to furnish aV neat, convenient, and 'serviceable article;'and it consists in combining a neck-tisand watch-guard in one article, as hereinafter more fully described; 0 i

Arepresents the combined article`,rthe middle part, al, of which, that passes around the neck of the wearer, is made broader than the part. athat' serves as a 'watch-guard. The ends or parts may -taper'gradually from the middle part to the ends.' To the ends ofthe part a2 may be attached a ring and snap-hook, for convenience in attaching the guard-ring of the watch.

I am aware that it is nctrnew to weave 'a neck-tie taperingin form; but' What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Paten-t, is-.V As a new article of manufacture, thevcombined neck-tie and watch-guard A, consisting ofthe widened part a, and the narrow parts a2 az, the latter being adapted to receive the slide a3, whiclri's secured .to the button of the shirt by its loop a, thereby holding the neck-tie inA proper position on the neck of the wearer, theends a2 being` also provided with a suitable means for attaching-to Athe watch, the whole constructed and arraug'edas herein set for h. 4
