In erecting the fence, the lower ends of the vertical bars a,"l bz a3 Z13 may rest upon the ground, or upon stone brjvoodcn supports, and the panels are so placed that their adjacent ends may overlap each other Suthciently'to bring the vertical bars, az b2, oppositeeach other: C are inclined braces?, the upper ends of which are slotted to receive the upper ends ofthe two adjacent vertical harsh2 Z", which are then secured in place by wedges, D. The lower ends of the inclined braces C are also slotted, to receive the upper ends of the short posts or stakes E. i l
The posts lonstalres E are notched upon their outer sides, and the lower ends of the inclined braces C are secured to them by the wedges F, as shown in ig. 2`.
'Thelower parts of the panels A and B are supported against side pressure, andheld together by' the braces Gr, the lower ends of Awhich are notched, to take hold ot' the horizontal Ybars of the said panels, and the upper ends of which are pinned or Yotherwise secured to the inclined braces 0, as shown in tig.
